Chaverim (Friends) --
As president of Temple Ner Ami, I want to thank you for visiting our Temple's web page. Begun in 1992 in the hearts and minds of five local women, we have evolved from Jewish Families of Camarillo, with a membership of approximately 40 families, to Temple Ner Ami, a Reform congregation, with 200-plus membership families.
While Temple Ner Ami offers programming you would expect from a Temple -- Friday night Shabbat Services, Torah Study Sessions, formal and informal youth education, and adult education -- its primary focus is to serve the needs of the greater Camarillo Jewish community as the local community demands.
"If I am not for myself, who is for me? And if I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?" as stated by Hillel reminds us that being a Jew carries a communal responsibility. I look forward to having the opportunity of meeting you, and welcoming you to Temple Ner Ami, in the very near future.
L'Shalom,
Lew Stone
President, Board of Directors
